Meat and Potatoes

The preseason is over with. The meat of the preseason; games 2 and 3 went very well for the offense.

Jay Cutler had a fantastic preseason. Its just preseason with its vanilla defenses but he was in a word perfect. He scored a TD every way a QB can. He passed, he handed off to the RB and he ran one in from over 20 yards out. All this in 5 quarters with zero interceptions. Cutler put on a clinic for the Cowboys first team defense. At one point he was 12 for 12.

We also saw just how good Brandon Marshall will be and how much we'll miss him in week one against the Janitor. The silver lining is the emergence of the rookie Eddie Royal. He has big play capability written all over him. His best catch was snatching it in the air from two larger defenders.

The Broncos have too many questions to be considered heavyweights in the NFL. The biggest question is the offensive line. The entire line will be different this opening weekend from last years. The biggest question however remains at the tackle positions with essentially two rookies starting at the tackle spots. The line does show signs of great potential. They didn't allow any sacks the entire preseason but I'm sure there will be some growing pains. They will have Daniel Graham to help them out in the blocking department.
